The contributions ITT is making to the health of our planet’s water
22/03/2007
March 22 is the World Water Day. This important international observance is led by the United Nations and had grown out of concern for the health of our world’s water. This year, the goal of World Water Day is to raise awareness about water scarcity and focus on potential solutions to this crisis.
World Water Day is an important event for all of us at ITT, and specifically for ITT Fluid Technology. As a global water leader, ITT plays a vital role in efforts to protect the world’s water. Helping to grow our business as we serve global water and wastewater needs is perfectly aligned with our goals of being a premier multi-industry company. It also lines up with other softer, but equally important goals of being good global citizens.
At ITT corporate web site www.itt.com you will read about what ITT is doing to increase supplies of clean, safe water around the world, and what you can do to be part of the solution. You will read also about our deep involvement in water philanthropy projects around the world and can learn more about the positive impact our products and technologies have for the people and communities we serve.
On World Water Day, we can all celebrate the contributions ITT is making to the health of our planet’s water. We can also observe World Water Day by thinking about what actions we can take in our own homes and communities to safeguard our precious water resources through conservation and pollution control.
Helping the world toward better stewardship of its most important resource is worthy work indeed!
