Floating SVI pump, new application for immersible pump range
24/05/2000
In applications where there is a requirement for the pump to generate a high pressure typically for irrigation systems where the water is found in a reservoir or holding tank, engineers have founded difficult to find a cost effective solution to supplying water to sprinkler heads. Traditional submersible pumps are not capable of the pressures required, and a borehole pump in a shroud, but this adds additional capital costs. A solution is now available with the new Lowara SVI immersible pump.
The SVI pump is mounted on a pontoon that floats on the water, the pump moves up and down dependant on the water level, with the range operating up to 72 m3/hr and 250 metres head it gives the user a number of pump options to meet sprinkler head requirements.
